BREN MOORE

Lead Tutor, Primary & Secondary Teacher, & Owner

Bren Moore founded Evening Owls Tuition in 2020 and brings more than 28 years of experience in education, having worked locally and internationally as a Teacher, Headteacher, SENDCo, Curriculum Leader and School Governor.

Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Education with Honours, SEN Diplomas 1–4 and a Master of Science (MSc) in Educational Psychology. Her specialist subjects are English, Mathematics and Science, alongside extensive experience supporting students with SEND, neurodiversity and individual learning needs.

Alongside leading Evening Owls and continuing to teach students from Primary through to GCSE, Bren is also a published author of contemporary and children’s fiction, with a particular passion for literacy, creativity and helping young people develop confidence in themselves and their learning.

HAYLEY HUME

Primary & Secondary Teacher & Tutor

Hayley Hume is an experienced teacher and tutor who has worked in schools across Plymouth and Cornwall since 2017. Known for her caring and supportive approach, she creates a relaxed yet focused learning environment, tailoring tuition to the individual needs of each student.

Alongside extensive experience teaching KS1 and KS2, Hayley has developed considerable expertise tutoring secondary students, supporting learners across KS3 and GCSE. Throughout her teaching career, she has also led a number of curriculum areas, including Maths, STEAM and MFL.

Hayley is also an award-winning playwright, bringing her passion for language, literature and creativity into her work with students. Her qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Law with Criminology (Hons) and a PGCE

CRAIG OSBORNE

Primary & Seconday Teacher & Tutor

Craig brings over 25 years of teaching experience, specialising in Maths, English, Science, and ICT across secondary schools, FE colleges, and the vocational and apprenticeship sectors. He has supported learners of all ages — from 11 to 66 — and has extensive experience working with students with SEN needs, helping each one gain confidence and achieve their goals.

After completing his Biology degree (BSc Hons) at Plymouth University, Craig has dedicated his career to helping students across the South West reach their full potential — whether that’s achieving a key pass grade, meeting a university target, or rediscovering their enjoyment of learning.

Craig’s wealth of experience, adaptable approach, and genuine enthusiasm for helping others make him a fantastic addition to the Evening Owls team. We’re so pleased to have him on board!

LEANNE ROBERTS

Primary (Early Secondary) Teacher & Tutor

Leanne Roberts is a primary teacher who has worked in Plymouth and Cornwall since 2015. She currently leads English across her school, supporting teachers in delivering high-quality reading and writing provision. Passionate about teaching and helping children reach their goals, she takes a calm, personalized, and positive approach. She focuses on identifying and celebrating each child’s strengths, building their confidence, and providing targeted support to maximize progress. Specializing in working with KS1 and KS2 pupils, she provides support in Maths, English, and Science. Her qualifications include a Degree in Psychology (BSc Hons), a PGCE in Primary Education, and a senior leadership qualification.

ANNE-HELENE PINNA

Primary & Seconday Teacher & Tutor

Anne-Hélène is a qualified and experienced primary teacher with over 10 years’ experience in both UK and international schools. She offers engaging, tailored tutoring that builds confidence and supports every child’s individual needs.

With her calm, encouraging approach and deep knowledge of the British curriculum, Anne-Hélène makes learning both accessible and enjoyable. She has a wealth of experience supporting EAL learners and is also fluent in French, making her a fantastic asset to our team.

Passionate about helping children thrive, she combines creativity, structure, and clear communication in every session.

MARIE BOLT

Primary Tutor

Marie Bolt has worked with children and young people in a variety of settings for over 25 years, supporting individuals from birth to 19 years old. Since 2014, she has been employed by a charity dedicated to assisting vulnerable young people and families.

She holds two Open Degrees from the Open University, along with multiple qualifications in Health and Social Care, Early Years Education, and Social Sciences. Passionate about helping children and young people build confidence and reach their full potential, she is committed to making a positive impact in their lives.

MARTIN BUTLER

Mathematics & Science Specialist Tutor

Martin Butler has been engaged in advanced Mathematics from a young age and has worked in education for 14 years. He holds a Mathematics degree from the University of Liverpool and has extensive experience tutoring students and adults of all ages and abilities, including A-level Maths and Further Maths. Passionate about the elegance and beauty of Mathematics, he views it as both a fundamental skill and an opportunity to inspire his students. Gifted in Maths and Science as a child, he actively sought challenges, achieving his first GCSE at the age of 11, which laid the foundation for independent learning and self-teaching. This experience has shaped his approach to education, specializing in challenging students and encouraging them to stretch their abilities further. In his early 20s, he spent a year as a STEM ambassador, promoting these subjects to inspire students to pursue them into higher education. Now, as a full-time tutor, he is dedicated to motivating and guiding learners to develop a deeper appreciation and understanding of Mathematics.

TEAGAN FROST

Primary & Seconday Tutor

Miss Frost is a Biological Sciences student at the University of Plymouth, with a deep passion for biology that has driven her academic journey from GCSE to A Level and now her BSc course. Throughout this time, she served as a subject ambassador and tutor, supporting peers and GCSE students by sharing her enthusiasm for biology and helping them succeed. We are excited to have her join us and help all our students reach their full potential, as she works to inspire a deeper understanding of biology and other curriculum subjects"
